We want to clear the market at Florida Home Aid. Our mission is to provide the local community a valuable service in today’s increasingly distressed real estate market: helping sellers sell and buyers buy in the worst real estate market since the Great Depression and certainly in our lifetimes. Distressed homeowners, many times through no fault of their own, are losing homes throughout our region- causing untold stress, despair, and wrecked financial lives.
If we can help sellers through giving them options at a time when they don’t think they have any, then we have brought some repair to our community. If we can help buyers buy that 1st home, invest in that foreclosure, or begin a new life in that newly affordable dream home, then we can help the market recover faster and get our region back on its feet and moving forward, as it should be, in a positive economic direction.
About Chris Melson:
Chris Melson is a real estate broker with eight years licensed professional experience in real estate investments, REOs, and short sales. Chris Melson’s unique first hand experience with the South Florida real estate market - as a longtime buyer, seller, property manager, and broker - give him critical insight and knowledge of trends in the local market. In 2007, he founded Florida Home Aid and PalmBeachShortSales.com to address buyers’ and sellers’ needs to purchase and market their homes in a tumultuous real estate market. He has developed an outstanding team of professionals to help clients including a real estate attorney, a former Ocwen Mortgage Loss Mitigation Manager with 20 years of expericence , Realtors, and several support staff and personnel.
Chris also created the REO Division of Platinum Properties, where he works hand in hand with asset managers and banks to quickly sell bank owned properties for the best value through effective and proven communication and marketing techniques.
Prior to becoming a real estate broker, Chris co-founded Peace Frogs Retail, a national chain of apparel and accessories stores. As President of Peace Frogs Retail, he traveled the country establishing over twenty retail locations. The sales, marketing and public relations skills that Chris gained in the retail arena are instrumental in building his client-focused real estate business. Chris holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. Chris lives in Jupiter, FL with his wife and son.
